We can help prepare your new home. Let us clean your old home for sale and prepare your new home so you know it's spotless and ready for your belongings. Our team will unpack and remove boxes to organizing your living space to be as comfortable as possible. We strive to make you feel like you are home at the end of the move.
Guidance from Personal & Professional Experience
Susan and Charity worked side-by-side for more than 20 years as leaders within the U.S. Air Force, managing people, projects, and complex transitions. Together, they bring nearly 60 years of leadership experience grounded in integrity, service before self, and excellence.​ After retiring in late 2025, they chose to use their experience in a more personal and meaningful way—helping seniors and families navigate the emotional and logistical challenges of transitioning.
Susan Emerson
During her career as a senior civilian within the United States Air Force, Susan managed complex projects, led large teams, and guided organizations through change with thoughtful leadership and compassionate support. Those experiences now allow her to bring structure, clear communication, and calm support to families navigating major life transitions. Susan discovered just how complex the process can be while helping her parents move from a large home built for entertaining to a more modest ranch in a retirement community. What seemed like “just a move” quickly became a multifaceted project—sorting decades of belongings, coordinating logistics, and preserving meaningful memories.
Charity Petrina
With a background in engineering, strategic planning, and senior leadership within the United States Air Force, Charity brings analytical thinking, creative solutions, and meticulous coordination to every client transition. She is passionate about helping families reduce stress and navigate overwhelming situations with confidence and clarity. Charity first saw how complicated senior moves can be when her widowed mother-in-law transitioned from a large home and office combination into a retirement apartment in Minnesota. Like many families, her in-laws were spread across the Midwest, requiring several family members to travel while relying heavily on those in the local area. Knowing there had to be a better way, she later discovered that Senior Move Managers could have helped, saving time, money, and stress for everyone involved in the process.
